The Generations!

past. present. future.

The Club originally opened in March of 1972, built on the backs of its members who not only contributed their own funds but also countless hours of labour and love to see their dream of a place to congregate as Italians come true.

The vision also included the desire to ensure that traditions and Italian values would be shared across generations and into the future – also to promote all things Italian with their new beloved community in Saskatchewan.

Italians love to dance. . . and it shows!

From the traditional folk dances of the countryside to the elegant ballroom dances of the cities and Italian-American classics we love, Italian dance is a celebration of life, passion, and romance.

Since 1972, the Italian Club has had a vibrant organized dance group to carry on the traditions of folk dance and culture.

Today, the club is happy to boast a multi-generational dance program with three outstanding performance groups:

Le Campagnole Italian Dancers

The principal dance organization of Regina’s Italian Club, it boasts dancers ranging in ages from three years to young adult. All are welcome. Participants take weekly hour-long instruction working toward performances at Mosaic, Festa Italiana, and invitational performances across and outside of Regina. Classes commence each fall.

Le Campagnole Alumni Dancers

Adult dancers with senior-level dance experience return for weekly instruction where they enjoy the challenge of more sophisticated choreography that captures the vast diversity in Italian dance styles for a variety of performance opportunities.

Nonnas & Zias

A lively ladies’ group that meets weekly for fun, exercise, and recreation.

Wednesday Nights

WE BOCCE!

Every summer, the Bocce Club meets Wednesday evenings on courts right behind the Italian club building, for a fun night of friendly competition. Players range in age from young adults to seniors with team participants chosen randomly to encourage socializing. All of which brings multigenerational members together to build meaningful relationships while enjoying the outdoors and some friendly competition.

Get an Italian Club membership, there’s a small bocce registration fee and that’s it, you’re in for some fun!
